I know we have a ton to catch up on, but I had to get this posted ASAP since Curry just said her first word this morning!!
For the past couple of weeks, Adam and I have been claiming to have heard her mumble "MaMa's" and "DaDa's" here and there like I'm sure most parents do as they anxiously await to hear that first real word intentionally spoke by their newborn, however this morning was different...Curry 100% spoke her very first word.
It started off as a normal morning, Adam had just brought Curr-Bear in our room from another great night's sleep in her crib (minus the cold/ear infection disaster, but that's another blog) and laid her next to my side. She's always so serene and happy-go-lucky in the mornings so, as normal, she was just laid back staring at Adam while I was singing our morning song, "Good Morning Beautiful," staring at her when (plain as day) she said, "Da-Da"! It was unbelievably adorable because she just said it out of nowhere in a faint little voice with a grin from ear to ear while she was staring straight at her "Da-Da." I just wanted to pick her up and squeeze her it was just the cutest thing I have yet to encounter, and talk about great timing...I couldn't have dreamt up a more perfect Father's Day present for Adam then to have Curry speak her first word. Especially being that it was "Da-Da"!
I guess it's official, we now have a crawling, talking, daughter with the personality of nothing I have ever seen. She just may be the sweetest, happiest baby I have ever known (Yes, I know, I am very biased, but what parent isn't?!)
PS- Happy Father's Day Adam. You are by far the world's greatest Husband/Father and Curry and I are so lucky to have you. We love you always and forever and I can't thank you enough for all you have done for me and our new little family. I hope this day was just as fabulous as you are!
